Meet the Team
After graduating with a First-Class Honours degree in Psychology from The University of York in 2013, Chris worked in the NHS in Norwich, and taught Mindfulness techniques at a private wellbeing facility and for corporate events. He later applied his passion for altruism to social housing, spending five years as an allocations manager overseeing the fair allocation of housing stock and managing large-scale decant projects in Jersey (C.I.). A move to Cumbria in 2021 with wife and daughter resulted in a chance introduction and partnership with a long-standing UK energy grant expert. Chris subsequently spearheaded a new approach to helping UK residents procure home energy grants, which has helped thousands of homes become warmer and more efficient at zero cost. In his spare spare time, Chris enjoys martial arts, archery, and getting into nature with the family.
Lou graduated with a BSc in Biomedical Science from Plymouth University in 2022 before moving with her husband and children to Cumbria to complete her Master's in Bioinformatics at the University of Glasgow in 2023. Driven by a passion for community impact, she connected with Chris, whose work in energy grants inspired her to explore the sector. Drawn by the opportunity to make sustainable living accessible, she became a Grant Consultant Manager, specialising in the ECO4 scheme. Her deep appreciation for the planet and interest in permaculture fuel her commitment to helping households reduce their carbon footprint.
